Hi! I'm Marian

I'm the Founder of ASL+OT

Hi, my name is Marian Santiago-Galarza and I am a junior in the University of South Florida majoring in Health Science with a concentration in Biological  and Social/Behavioral Health Science and a Minor in Deaf Studies. I plan on going to graduate school to get my degree in OT and hope to impact others lives just as much as I hope that they impact mine.

My goal is to overall to show those that people with disabilities are capable of anything and more just like any other person. I also want to inspire others even if they are themselves that they can do what they want to just in a way that works for them.

I choose this topic since Occupational Therapists work hand in hand with Speech Pathologist or Speech Therapist and feel like OT should learn about ASL in order to he be closer within the Deaf community and to create less of a barrier when working with or treating those who are Deaf.
